UCONN-SECURE Network

  1. Change your NetID password at https://netid.uconn.edu from a wired connection.

    2. Note:
    • If you have changed your NetID later than March 4, 2008 then you do not have to perform this step.
    • This will change your password for ALL applications that use NetID such as your Exchange/Huskymail account and HuskyCT
  2. On the main application screen, select Options

  3. On the next screen, select “Wi-Fi Connections”

    1. This will bring you to the Wi-Fi screen:

  4. Press the menu button and select New:

  5. On the next screen select Manually Add Network:

  6. Type the SSID (in all caps): UCONN-SECURE and click add:

  7. On the next screen, enter the information as follows, then click connect:
    • Security Type: PEAP
    • User Name: Your NetID
    • Password: Your NetID Password
    • CA Certificate: Comodo UTN USERFirst Hardware
    • Inner link security: EAP-MS-CHAP v2
    • Token: <None Selected>
    • Server subject:
    • Server SAN:

  8. The following screen will appear as it attempts to connect:

  9. After a few moments, the connection should succeed and you will be prompted to “Save this Wi-Fi Network as a Profile?”  Name the profile UCONN-SECURE and select next.

  10. Your connection is now complete, click finish to exit the Wi-Fi setup.
